People, after getting occupation certificates, have illegally built structures in certain buildings. Authorities are responding with show-cause notices and restoration orders to address these violations.
Occupancy violations led to the sealing of two buildings: Officials from the District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) took action on Thursday by sealing 21 floors in two apartment buildings. Allegedly, commercial activities were being conducted in residential spaces, breaching occupation certificate norms. Additionally, a complaint led to the sealing of Malibu Town Club due to unauthorized construction within its premises
Despite obtaining occupation certificates (OC), some individuals have engaged in unauthorized construction in certain buildings. The department is responding by issuing show-cause notices and restoration orders to address these violations.
As per the directives of DTP (Enforcement) Manish Yadav, authorities conducted a recent inspection, discovering widespread unauthorized construction in over half a dozen licensed colonies. The official highlighted the indiscriminate nature of these illegal activities.

Following the issuance of the OC, the department, under the direction of Yadav, took measures to seal 21 floors across two buildings in Sushant Lok-1 and Malibu Towne due to unauthorized construction. In response to a complaint lodged at the ‘CM Window,’ Malibu Towne Club faced closure due to its involvement in illegal construction,” Yadav stated.
In the C-Block of Sushant Lok 1 complex, a senior official from the Town and Country Planning department reported that the enforcement team took action by sealing four floors in two buildings and a total of twelve floors across four other buildings.
In a parallel incident, the authorities sealed the basement of a building in Malibu Towne, and the offices of a property dealer, supposedly operating illegally from two houses, were also closed off, as per the officer’s statement.
