A homebuyer has complained to state authorities about safety problems and rule violations at a housing project in Sector 89, Gurugram.

The buyer, who owns a flat at The Meridian project on Pataudi Road, has written to the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) and Haryana RERA, asking them to step in. She said the developer is pressuring buyers to sign a no-objection certificate before giving possession, even though several issues remain unresolved.
In her complaint, she pointed out problems such as poor road connectivity, changes in the project layout, and safety risks like electrical installations placed close to residential buildings. She also referred to earlier Haryana RERA orders in some buyer cases and said the same directions should be followed for the entire project.
The developer denied the allegations, saying the construction work is complete and that the occupancy certificate has been received in principle. The company said approvals from more than two-thirds of the buyers have been submitted, and the remaining formalities are being completed. It also claimed that only a few investors are raising objections and said it may take legal action against attempts to mislead buyers.
Meanwhile, district town planner (enforcement) Amit Madholia said his department has received the complaint. He added that a junior engineer has been asked to inspect the project, and further action will be taken after the inspection report is submitted.
