The District Town Planner (DTP) is taking action against illegal activities in Gurugram. In this series, while one team from DTP carried out sealing operations in Sushant Lok-2, another team cracked down on an unauthorized colony in Silani village.

In a sealing campaign led by DTP’s Manish Yadav on Tuesday, a team sealed 13 properties in Block E-1 of Sushant Lok-2 involved in unauthorized commercial activities. 

Notices had been issued by the department, citing reasons, and restoration orders were given, but neither the activity operators nor the property owners provided satisfactory responses.

DTP Takes Action Against Illegal Business Activities

Consequently, on Tuesday, the team sealed these properties during the operation. The sealed establishments included a clinic, a shop, six commercial offices, and five property dealer offices.

DTP, under the leadership of Manish Yadav, has sealed approximately 400 commercial activities so far. Approval has been granted for commercial activities falling under the category of more than 130 non-nuisance activities. People have voluntarily shut down over 100 activities at their own level. The department has issued notices stating reasons for around 750 commercial activities in various licensed colonies and restoration orders for 725 of these activities.

Under the leadership of Binesh Kumar, the DTP team has demolished an unauthorized colony in the village of Silani in the Sohna region. Acting on information, the team took legal action against a colony being developed on 3 acres of land in Silani village. 

Along with breaking down 8 DPCs, the road network was also dismantled. During the operation, Vikram Singh from GMDA was appointed as the Duty Magistrate. Field technicians Shubham Sharma and JE Manoj Kumar were present during the demolition. 

People gathered at the site during the demolition, and they were advised not to engage in construction activities here again and to avoid investing in such unauthorized colonies.
