The construction of a toll plaza on the Gurugram-Delhi border is moving quickly to prepare for toll collection on the expressway. Once the plaza is finished, tolls will be charged for the completed sections of the project. The toll plaza is expected to be fully ready in two months.

NHAI is getting ready to start collecting tolls on the Dwarka Expressway, but local residents are not happy about it. They believe it’s unfair to charge tolls because the expressway is not fully completed yet. In response, the residents plan to write to Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to express their concerns.

The people living nearby feel that collecting tolls before the entire project is finished is unjust. They also insist that the Kherki Daula toll plaza should be removed before any new toll plaza on the Dwarka Expressway is opened. If this doesn’t happen, they are prepared to protest further.

Currently, a toll plaza is being built on the Gurugram-Delhi border at a rapid pace. Once it’s completed, toll collection will begin for the sections of the expressway that are finished. The toll plaza is expected to be ready in two months.

So far, around 100 residential societies have been developed around the expressway, along with many villages and colonies, where lakhs of people live. Residents have been promised for years that the Kherki Daula toll plaza would be removed once the Dwarka Expressway is completed, but it seems unlikely to happen anytime soon.
