Dwarka Expressway Project Highlights:
- Sectors from 81 to 115 will be connected.
- They’ll spend 99 crore rupees on a 15-kilometer lane.
- Service lanes will be seven meters wide on both sides.
After building the Dwarka Expressway, they’re now starting to set up services along with it from next week. The government has already permitted this work. This means people living near Gurugram, close to Delhi, will soon have access to services linked to the Dwarka Expressway, which cost around nine thousand crore rupees to build. The agency has started working on its facilities and plants along the expressway. They’ll also begin building roads for services next week, which will take about a year to finish. During this time, they’ll also fix any missing points in road connections.
In a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in Chandigarh on March 4, approval was given for this project. Besides the Dwarka Expressway, they’ll build a service lane from Sector 81 to 115. This lane will be seven meters wide on both sides and cost about 99 crore rupees. It will take over a year to complete. NHAI had asked NHIDCL to build the service lane after finishing the Dwarka Expressway. After preparing the project plan, it was sent to Chandigarh for approval.
They’ve started setting up machinery and offices along with the Dwarka Expressway and working on unpaved roads. There are legal issues in some places, which NHIDCL is resolving. Arun Dhankhar, NHIDCL’s Chief Engineer, said they’ll start building service lanes on both sides of the Dwarka Expressway next week. The agency has begun setting up machinery and offices on the site. Legal problems regarding land in some places will be sorted out soon.
