The report from IIT Delhi assures that the C and J towers are secure. The administration is currently awaiting the final report for the J tower

Cracks have started appearing in the stairs, walls, and tiles of the safe towers at Chintels Paradiso in Gurugram’s Sector-109, even before demolishing the unsafe towers. The report from IIT Delhi assures the safety of the C and J towers.

The administration is currently waiting for the final report for the J tower, which has been preliminarily declared safe. Meanwhile, the deadline to evacuate the five identified unsafe towers (D, E, F, G, and H) is approaching on December 31.

The builder has already submitted a written proposal, committing not to make any changes to the previously agreed-upon alterations

The atmosphere in society is filled with concern due to cracks appearing in the safe towers. To ensure no harm in the secure towers, residents of Chintels Paradiso are seeking security bonds.

For this purpose, a meeting was held on Tuesday to submit a written letter to the administration. According to JN Yadav from the builder’s side, discussions have already taken place with the administration regarding this matter.

The report from IIT Delhi confirms the safety of these towers

Fixing the cracks is solely the responsibility of maintenance. Apart from that, now only six families are left to evacuate the five unsafe towers.

Out of a total of eight, two families have already reached an agreement with the builder and vacated their flats as per the proposal.

Every day, anxiety is growing over the unsafe towers

In Chintels Paradiso, located in Sector 109, the elevators in the unsafe towers D, E, F, G, and H are causing vibrations in the building. Additionally, the burden of water and concrete tanks is resting on the main pillars of these unsafe towers.

The water tank has a storage capacity of two hundred thousand liters, equivalent to a weight of two hundred tons. Besides the report from Delhi IIT, the chosen engineering company for demolishing the towers has also revealed this information.

However, there is currently no progress in the negotiations between the builder and RWA. As a result, the residents here are increasingly feeling the weight of insecurity.

Six remaining families are requesting an increase of two rupees per square foot in rent

Rakesh Hooda, the president of RWA, revealed that in a meeting held a week ago, it was decided that the builder would pay rent to eight families for vacating their flats. Now, this will be a lump sum amount.

Chintels representatives had proposed paying rent for six months at the rate of Rs. 10 per square foot. However, six families are now suggesting a slight modification to this proposal, increasing the rate to Rs. 12 per square foot for rent payment.

The Vice President of Chintels Paradiso, JN Yadav, mentioned that discussions were held with the management regarding this matter, but they have declined any negotiations. Now, families residing in the unsafe tower should prioritize their safety and make up their minds.

The builder has already approved financial compensation of all kinds. There won’t be any reconsideration of new terms. The administration has been formally notified about this. These families must vacate their homes by December 31. After that, the builder won’t be obligated to extend the previously offered deals.

The administration is playing its role in Chintels Paradiso. Both parties now need to come to an understanding and grasp the sensitivity of the matter. A deadline of December 31 has been set for this.
