The Haryana government has increased the discount on property tax payments for the year 2023 by up to 15%. This marks a significant rise from the previous years, where the discount from 2010-2011 to 2022-2023 remained consistent.
For the year 2023, the Haryana government has increased the discount on property tax payments to 15%. Previously, the discount from 2010-2011 to 2022-2023 was the same, but now, through a notification, it has been extended until December 2024.

This implies that there was a 15% discount on property tax interest, which now increases up to 100% over the span of 13 years. In essence, you won’t have to pay any interest on property tax. This means that from 2023 to 2024, a complete exemption from interest on property tax will be granted.
Kuldeep Vats mentioned that the government has introduced an online portal for payments and made self-certification mandatory. Private computer shops and CSC centers are seeing a surge in business due to this initiative, collecting substantial amounts for this service.
Experts suggest that a property survey should be conducted again because the initial survey had many errors. The All Sector Residents Welfare Association is advocating for the removal of self-certification.
