Beware of Land Mafias in Gurugram: In Farrukhnagar, Gurugram, a startling revelation has emerged from a drone survey of land, uncovering illegal colonies on a thousand acres of land. A comprehensive report on this will now be prepared and submitted to the urban local body department within the next one and a half months.

In the Farrukhnagar area of Gurugram, the drone land survey is now complete, revealing the presence of illegal colonies on a thousand acres of land. A detailed report will be prepared and submitted to the urban local body department within the next one and a half months. After determining the boundaries of these unauthorized colonies, demolition will commence.

On the orders of the District Magistrate, an agency conducted a drone survey of 1200 hectares of land in the Farrukhnagar area. Photographs were taken of construction in illegal colonies. The District Town Planning Department entrusted an agency with the responsibility of conducting the drone survey.

The survey took three months to complete. The survey documented where and how much construction had occurred on the land, identified which land was suitable for agriculture, and pinpointed the locations where colonies were carved out, capturing images of all these aspects.

As per the District Town Planner, the agency is now preparing a report for the Farrukhnagar area. During the survey, information was collected about vacant areas and constructed houses in illegal colonies. It also determined whether water, electricity, and roads were provided in these colonies.

Information was gathered about which houses were receiving electricity from the grid. The survey report will be sent to the urban local body department.

Orders to Refrain from Registry

Orders have been issued by the District Town Planner to halt property registrations in 65 illegal colonies being developed on agricultural land in 18 villages of Farrukhnagar and Gurugram. These orders have been conveyed to the tehsildars.

Notably, in Sadrana village, more than 30 land mafias have carved out seven illegal colonies, while in Sultanpur village, over 40 land mafias have created 15 colonies.

The Income Tax Department is conducting an investigation

The Income Tax Department is scrutinizing property registrations in Gadhi Harsaru and Kadipur tehsils. Tehsildars are required to provide information to the Income Tax Department when property transactions exceed three lakh rupees. Over the past three years,

there has been a significant increase in plot registrations here, and this information was not reported to the department. In January, an income tax evasion of more than 500 crores was uncovered.
